Residents in Zionville, Sugar Grove and other western locations were impacted by hail, high winds and heavy rain on Thursday night (April 9).
The National Weather Service issued both a Severe Thunderstorm Warning and a Flash Flood Warning for Watauga County for the first time this Spring 2015 season.
Hail up to a quarter size was reported, as seen below.
