Saturday October 3, 2015 Storm Reports/Road Conditions

As of 8am Saturday no reported storm issues from overnight or this morning. Flood Watch remains in effect until 8pm Sunday, Wind Advisory in effect until 8am Sunday.

10am – according to scanner, Boone Police are being proactive and blocking off the Boone Mall parking lot facing 321 due to flood threat.

11:08am – scanner report of water across the road near the airport/Kellwood area.

11:30am – High water around the Moose Lodge/golf course area on Deerfield Road near Watauga Medical Center.

12:23pm – Roby Green Rd. is flooded and impassable according to Watauga County Emergency Management.

3pm – Old Ford Trail at low water bridges on the Watauga River and Dewitt Barnett Road low water bridge closed.

5:11pm – minor delay possible on 105 near the turn to Broadstone Road due to debris that has washed into the road.

6:16pm – no other reports of flooded roads over the last hour. Several locations mentioned above have gone down. Still be mindful of possible flooded locations.
